You may have enough savings built up or a lump sum from your retirement pension to finance the property outright.
SELLING YOUR EXISTING HOME
This is not the ideal solution if you want to return to the UK at a later stage. Although how would you cope in, say, ten years time when you want to return to the UK but cannot afford to because prices here have risen so much? The alternative is to sell your home here and buy a smaller one which you can then rent out or use as a second home and then use the capital released by the sale to purchase your overseas property.
